In describing how God has organized His people, Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” The Lord has used these words to shape and mold us over the years as we’ve sought to help each other discover the specific ways God has formed us for ministry, both as individuals and as a family.
We are led by a group of Elders who serve as shepherds, discerners, and overseers for all aspects of congregational life. These pastors are responsible for the holistic care of everyone in the family, as well as the congregation’s formal ministry and presence in the surrounding communities.
The Staff works alongside the Elders, handling the day-to-day details connected to the ministries of Living Hope Fellowship, which includes counseling, discipleship, team development, and equipping the people to better serve those to whom they are sent.
The bulk of ministry is carried out by the congregation as a whole, serving in their homes, workplaces, campuses, and anywhere they go, with some volunteering on Ministry Teams, as Team or Community Group Leaders, Deacons, or on the nursery rotation. We agree with Paul, that each person is a gift to the church family, and by His grace at work among us we will continue to work together to be all that God has in mind as His Church.
